ROV Systems Purchase
On Thursday, 26th June 2008, Submec Offshore became a ROV Operator. An order was placed with Perry Slingsby Systems (PSS) to purchase two identical Triton XLX ROV systems. These 150HP ROV’s will be delivered in November this year and will give Submec the most technically advanced ROV systems in the Southern Hemisphere. We are aiming at the high end of the market, which includes construction support and deepwater operations. Both systems are 3000m rated and will be equipped with Schilling T4 seven function manipulators and Schilling Rigmaster five function manipulators.
This is an exciting time for the company as it moves Submec to the next level. Submec has a lot of experience in the organisation, which has been mainly on older equipment, so this will be a breath of fresh air for all involved; especially for the guys offshore at the front end.
Submec looks to have been awarded our first major contract and this will be formally announced once the ink is dry on the contract.
To put it simply, our goal as a company now is to provide the best equipment operated by the best personnel. Easy!!
