Management

Submec has evolved to provide a wide range of  technical & offshore support services across the full spectrum of disciplines required for technical & service projects.  We are especially renowned for ROV and Subsea Engineering and Project Management.

Submec management team has a combined total of approximately 70 years in the Subsea Engineering and ROV Service industry.

General Manager / Director

Brendan Reid has a trade background as well as designing equipment for 18 years with the last 13 involved in the oil & gas industry. Brendan has a trade certificate in Metal Fabrication (Boilermaker) and certificates in Project Management. Since starting Submec in 2000 Brendan has worked more as a project manager, business development manager and negotiated the Woodside IMR subsea tooling contract.

Business Development / Director

Murray Ross has over 20 years experience in the offshore subsea industry, with 10 years offshore experience in the North Sea & Asia, 5 years operations management with a major subsea vessel, diving & ROV contractor before moving to management in Woodside Energy’s Subsea Operations.

Offshore Engineering Manager / Director

Graeme Watt has over 20 years experience in the oil and gas industry involving all aspects of subsea construction and development projects both onshore and offshore.  He has worked in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Asia Pacific and  India in all disciplines of project and design engineering.  Some of the projects involved pipeline tow outs and installation, wellhead intervention, RTM and float buoy installation, structures & spool piece installation & hookup, trenching & burial operations, site management, contract negotiations and construction engineering team leadership.

Design Engineering Manager / Director

Greg Mitchell has over 20 years design experience in lifting equipment and general engineering and has a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. In 2005 Greg's design of the Ronco 6000 Mobile Crane was awarded the Australian Design Award and the Engineers of Australia Excellence in Design Award.
